7 Road Trip Games For Kids

These games can help pass the time and keep everyone entertained during long drives!

I-Spy

Objective: Correctly guess the object that has been secretly decided.
How to Play: One person picks something they can see and says, “I spy with my little eye, something that is [color or description].” Others take turns guessing what it is.

The Alphabet Game

Objective: The first person to spot an item for each letter A-Z wins.
How to Play: Players take turns finding items outside the car that start with each letter of the alphabet, from A to Z.

License Plate Game

Objective: The person with the most license plates at the end of the trip wins.
How to Play: Keep an eye out for license plates from different states.

20-Questions

Objective: Guess what the other player are thinking using 20 questions or less.
How to Play: One player thinks of something, and the others ask yes-or-no questions to try to guess what it is. They have a maximum of 20 questions to figure it out.

Would You Rather?

Objective: Have fun and learn about your friends!
How to Play: Take turns asking each other “Would you rather” questions with two options. It leads to fun discussions and laughter.

Counting Game

Objective: Count the most.
How to Play: Pick a theme, such as cows or red cars, and see who can spot the most in a set amount of time.

Storytelling Round

Objective: Create a story.
How to Play: One person starts a story with a sentence, and then everyone takes turns adding a sentence to build the story as you go along.
